"Wild Palms” is a series of paintings and drawings made in various supports whose models came from cinematographic recordings of blues musicians from the first half of the 20th century. The paintings, mostly monochrome, translate the fragility of the register (initially of very low quality) to show the temporal atmosphere that hides beneath it, more than name and point the personality of a particular one.

The works presented in this show (together with the ones from the artist Rodrigo Toro) talk silently about the phantasmagoric presence of an individual that doesn’t define itself, as it is invoked through blurred images and noises that cant trace any particular form.

The name of the show, translated as Deep Water, works as a metaphor that evokes the darkness of memory, the haziness of the images and the ambiguous of the sensations.
